During the Khmer Rouge regime, from April 17, 1975, to January 7, 1979, more than two million Cambodians perished, and millions more suffered physically, mentally, and spiritually. I was fortunate that the Khmer Rouge had only inflicted pain on my physical body, but not my mind. I had gone through hell and back and seen pure evil; therefore, there would be no reason for me not to enjoy life each day. As you read my book, you would see what I was living through and feel pain and joy in my experience.

Salt Seeker has been one of the extraordinary accomplishments for me because my story has brought many wonderful people into my life. After I finished writing the first draft of my book Salt Seeker in 1998, it was amazing that my nightmares had disappeared. I had no idea that my book would be an inspiration for readers to achieve success and enjoy their lives more.
